For several years, Ron created works that he turned on a lathe. He used distressed wood that had a great deal of decay or were otherwise distressed. It is a wonder that a rotting tree in the forest or even found in a dump could be hiding magnificent potential.  The trick was knowing which logs to choose and then how to best bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
